Even before the days of many wars that we’ve had in modern times the reliable canteen has always been around. Although they may be as old as the dinosaur, they’re still just as readily available and used today. The plastics that most of them are created with have proven to be non-toxic time and time again. And just because they are made of plastic that doesn’t mean that they’re weak or vulnerable, since they are very powerful in relation to their surface area. And on top of that they are super great to carry along with you on your camping trip since they are so light weight.

Let me just say this, if you are going to be doing any kind of hiking then you are going to want to make sure that whatever cold beverage you’re taking with you remains cold, and that’s where a reliable canteen comes in to play. On many occasions, it can be challenging for an individual to find or locate fresh clean h20. Therefore, it is crucial for them to have their canteens at all times in order to keep themselves well hydrated in places where clean water is hard to find.

Before storing water inside the canteens, make sure you have filtered it. A portable canteen that has a water filter can help eliminate impurities and harmful organisms that can be dangerous to your health. Drinking unclean water will have a major impact on your well being. It can definitely result in various stomach and digestive track ailments. In a worst case scenario, it can also lead to death.

In addition to other types of camping gear and equipment that you decide to take with you on your trip, make sure that one of those is either a thermos or a canteen that you can count on. While canteens help you store water for your drinking purposes, thermos can be used to keep your beverages warm over an extended period of time. Finding thermoses of all shapes and sizes will be a breeze since they are so readily available.

If you are keeping track of a cost analysis then a suggestion to you is that when you buy a canteen or thermos select the ones that are mainly composed of plastic. If you are worried at all of any possible toxins that you feel may come from plastic made products then you can always instead take a look those are manufactured by metal or stainless steel, just keep in mind that they cost slightly more money. Generally, they are made from high quality materials and usually last longer than those made from plastics.

If you were to compare a canteen and how much liquid it can fit to that of the amount of how much a thermos can, you’ll soon realize that canteens beat it out every time. Although thermos can be slightly heavier even without any water inside, thermos certainly have advantages in terms of providing you with good and safe drinking water. However, thermos can be a good breeding ground for harmful bacteria if it is not cleaned properly.

Having both canteens & thermos as part of your camping gear can definitely make a difference to your outdoor adventure trip. Even if you think that you may not need either one of them, you may never know when you least expect. To sum it all up, it is always better to have them in handy just in case you need them during your trip.
