How does School Shop Online Work?
For Schools – School Shop Online converts the existing tuckshop menu into an interactive online menu within your school web site. The school’s identity is maintained on all pages and the parent’s relationship always remains with the school.
For Parents - The menu incorporates an added a nutritional rating scheme to educate parents about each of their choices and the health benefits for their child. Ongoing performance charts and comparisons are presented weekly, monthly and yearly for review.
For Tuckshops – The tuckshop convenor only has go to the school web site each day and press the print button to receive the orders as either stickers or picking slips.
How much does School Shop Online Cost?
There are no up-front fees for the school and no ongoing monthly rental contracts either. This is not out-sourcing of food orders, tuckshops or web site.
Why School Online?
School Shop Online has been put together by parents who wanted to be more involved in their children’s dietary choices. The unique model considers all parties involved in the supply and sale of food through school tuckshops, and provides incentives for all to work towards overcoming childhood obesity and improving possible negative outcomes from children carrying cash during their school day.
